Controller
Barrett is a Certified Public Accountant and serves as Spartan’s internal Controller. He has been a member of the Spartan team since 2017 and brings over a decade of experience in the banking and finance industry. A graduate of Auburn University, Barrett holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Accountancy from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Barrett oversees the financial operations for Spartan Value Investors and its entities. He manages accounting systems, budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance to ensure the organization remains efficient, transparent, and financially sound. Barrett plays a key role in strategic financial planning and analysis, supporting leadership with data-driven insights that guide growth and operational excellence. He also works closely with department heads to enhance processes, monitor performance, and uphold strong fiscal discipline across Spartan’s integrated business model.
Outside of work, Barrett is a proud dad and lifelong Auburn fan who loves spending time with his family, going to concerts, watching football, and exploring the outdoors.
