Since 1911, Children’s of Alabama has provided specialized medical care for ill and injured children. Ranked among the best children’s hospitals in the nation by U.S. News & World Report, Children’s serves patients from every county in Alabama and nearly every state. With more than 3.5 million square feet, it is one of the largest pediatric medical facilities in the United States.
GirlSpring was founded by philanthropist and social activist Jane Stephens Comer in 2010. GirlSpring is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide access to reliable information, inspiring events, and positive role models so girls are empowered to reach their full potential. GirlSpring.com launched in 2016 and reaches an average of 15,000 girls per month in Birmingham, Alabama and across the globe through its digital platform, programs, camps, and educational opportunities.
Habitat for Humanity is a global nonprofit housing organization working in local communities across all 50 states in the U.S. and in approximately 70 countries. Habitat’s vision is of a world where everyone has a decent place to live.
Families with critically ill children travel from all over Alabama and beyond for the world-class pediatric care found in Birmingham. They face many stressors along their journey, and the mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Alabama is to comfort, care and support them during this time.

The Salvation Army’s holiday assistance programs provide food, gifts, and other essential items to those in need during the holiday season. Through initiatives like toy drives, meal distribution, and the Angel Tree program, The Salvation Army aims to ensure everyone gets to experience the joy of the holidays.
